Waterjet Depot has focused on the research and development of advanced, hard-wearing carbide for the production of abrasive waterjet cutting nozzles. A series of patented processes have been developed to produce nozzles that are more wear resistant. The carbide is made out of NANO tungsten particles which contributes to excellent wear resistance, with a much longer life span than that of other normal tungsten carbide nozzles.

The main factor that determines the wear resistance of tungsten carbides is the content of binders. For better wear resistance, Waterjet Depot has decreased the content of binders as small as possible and increased the density of the material as large as possible. Waterjet Depot uses the most advanced manufacturing methods including hot pressing, sintering, and advanced compaction technology.
